Global World Insurance (GWI) has been awarded "Best General Insurance Company of the Year 2024" at the 5th Emerging Asia Insurance Conclave & Awards 2024, held in Bangkok, Thailand, on February 7, 2025. This prestigious award, presented by the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC), recognizes GWI's outstanding performance and contributions to the insurance sector in Myanmar.

The 5th Emerging Asia Insurance Conclave & Awards, an initiative of the ICC, celebrates the achievements of emerging Asian insurance companies while also providing a platform to discuss current economic conditions and their impact on the industry. The Conclave witnessed participation from BIMSTEC countries (Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Nepal, and Bhutan), competing with insurance companies from these nations for various awards. The ICC's knowledge partner for this event is the Insurance Institute of India (III), and the association partners include the General Insurance Council, Thailand Insurance Institute (TII), Life Insurance Council, Insurance Association of the Lanka (IASL), Financial Institutions Association of Bhutan (FIAB), Insurance Brokers Association of India (IBAI), Myanmar Insurance Association (MIA), and Insurance Institute of Nepal (IIN).

GWI's application for the "Best General Insurance Company of the Year 2024" award was precisely evaluated based on several key criteria, including financial health and services and performance. The submitted data underwent thorough verification by the Indian Chamber of Commerce team, an independent jury, and process reviewer PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers International Limited). PwC India as Process Reviewer is organizing the 5th Emerging Asia Insurance Conclave & Awards at Bangkok, to acknowledge honor and recognize the efforts made by the emerging Asian insurance companies as well as discuss the policy to make the insurance sector innovative, accessible and sustainable. Finally, PwC verified and approved the recognition of the awards. GWI's success underscores its commitment to excellence in all these areas.
